Let’s go see the world outside! Have an adventure to find new fun things! And, don’t do it with half a heart. Just go all out to visit the colorful places.

Wait, what does a monotone live have to do with color?

Well, you might often hear about color therapy to relieve stress. If you check out the book store, it seems easy to find some coloring books for adults which are claimed to cast off all the stress. But if coloring book is not enough to color up your life, then adventuring to many places with many colors might work better for you.

Yaps, at this world, there are several tourism destinations with rainbow colors. Some of those colors are originally painted by The Creator, but some are purely human-made. Whatever it is, these colorful destinations would be so much fun to visit by you who needs some color therapy. Who knows, maybe their colorful charms could successfully liven up your cloudy life, magically change it to be filled with cheerful colors.

Just admit it, who oftenly colors up the mountain with blue or green on drawing lessons at school? It seems that almost every students would raise up their hands for it. But actually, not every mountain is blue or green. Just try checking out this mountain in China, Danxia Landform Geological Park, which has many colors like a rainbow.

Danxia Landform Geological Park is a mountain located not far away from the city of Zhangye, Gangsu Province, China. This mountain, which is well-known by the name of Rainbow Mountain, was formed due to the erotion proccess for million years, which scraped out the soil layer and unveiled the magnificent rainbow colors.

After officially listed as UNESCO World’s Heritage Site on 2010, local government started to manage this geopark more seriously to be the main tourism attraction of the area. Now guests can enjoy the colorful beauty of this geopark from many platforms provided.

2. There Are More Than One Rainbow Mountain. Even Peru Has A Mountain with Rainbow Charm. It is Mount Vinicunca.

It turns out that rainbow mountain is not just in China. In Peru, you can also find a mountain with rainbow colors stacked up like a layer cake. It is Mount Vinicunca.

Mount Vinicunca, a.k.a Rainbow Mountain, is a mountain in the line of Mountain Willkanuta. Unlike Danxia Landform Geological Park which is constantly developing itself to accomodate tourists, Mount Vinicunca is still rarely visited by tourists.

That is simply because the trip to reach this mountain is pretty rough and difficult! To enjoy this geological phenomena, travelers need to hike up Ausangate Trek and Ausangate Peak first. It is said that you need at least 6 days to finish up the whole track. Hmmmm…… Wanna try?

3. Move On to Nevada, There is Fly Geyser Which Will Amaze You to See Its Color Charms.

Looking at the picture above, you might think that it is edited. Or, it might be just a computer graphic. But believe me, that photo is truely real. That place is called Fly Geyser, a geothermal geyser located on Washoe CountyNevada.

Unfortunately, this geyser is a part of a private property. Tourists are not allowed to come in and out as they wish to see this geyser close by. Even so, this geyser is quite big to see and enjoy from the road-side.

Who knows that a hot spring bath could be so colorful? One example of it is Grand Prismatic Hot Spring, a natural hot spring bath in WyomingUSA, which is popular for having the color nuance of a rainbow. Those colors are real, instead of just a made-up to attarct tourists.

Apart from its color charm, this natural hot spring is also popular for its location, which is within the area of Yellowstone National Park. And, Grand Prismatic Hot Spring is also popular for its size as well, because this natural hot spring is the largest one in America, and is the third largest in the world.

Flower field in Furano, which is located on the northern side of Hokkaido, Japan, definitely has tons of treasure. Hokkaido is famous for its air which tends to be cooler than other area in Japan, its mesmerizing view of nature, its awesome snow festivals, and its colorful view of flower field.

Yups, Hokkaido surely can be identified with its flower field, especially the lavenders. The most famous areas of its flower fields are Furano and Biei. Best moment to visit Furano and Biei is during the summer. At that particular moment, it is not just the lavenders that are blooming, but other flowers in many colors do as well, making Furano and Biei looks like they are blanketed with rainbow carpet.

Especially if the flower garden was designed beautifully and mesmerizingly, just like Miracle Garden in Dubai. Miracle Garden is a flower garden located at the Dubailand district, Uni Arab Emirates. This 72-square-meters park was just launched last 2013, and since then, it is always popular to be visited by tourists.

The main charm of this garden undoubtfully lies on its flowery charms in many colors like a rainbow. Those flowers were even designed into many forms, starting from the common garden concept, up to the ones that covering up the whole house like a blanket. So pretty! If you want to visit there, better to come around October to April, because during June to September, this garden will be closed due to its very high air temperature.

Ladies and gentleman, let’s travel to the city of Guilin in Guangxi, China. There is a cave called Reed Flute Cave. This one cave is different than other caves that you probably have visited. At this cave, don’t expect to find dark, dim, and moist atmosphere. On the contrary, you are guaranteed to be amazed by its merry nuance of colorful illuminations inside that very cave.

Actually, Reed Flute Cave is naturally interesting to explore as it has many stalagtites, stalagmites, and unique rock formations. Plus, this cave has many trails of history. But, the cave’s popularity rises up significatnly after the local government initiated to decorate this cave with many colorful artificial illuminations. The result is, the atmosphere at Reed Flute Cave turns to be like a fantasy underground world. How cool is that?

8. Although Not As Merry As Its ‘Sister’ in China, Waimea Canyon in Hawaii Has the Color Charms That Could Make You Fall in Love.

All this time, Hawaii is famous for its beautiful beaches, how the wave becomes the paradise for surfers, and its unique hula hula dance. The one thing that often misses out from the common tourist’s radar is that Hawaai also has astonishing natural charms.

From so many tourism attractions in Hawaii, Waimena Canyon is one of the most popular amongst them who love the color charms of the world. Waimena Canyon is a canyon located on the west side of Kauai in Hawaiian islands. Just like Danxia Landform Geological Park and Mount Vinicunca, this canyon also has beautiful layers of color.

The difference is that the layers at Waimena Canyon consist of not far from the colors of green, red, and brown. Though the color is still not as varied as its other “sisters”, this canyon still has its own uniqueness because the layers are formed vertically. Just like the layers on a cake. Well, now I am hungry!

9. Rainbow Can Be Made by Human. One of The Proof Is Available to See at Rainbow Village, Taiwan.

All this time, rainbow identifies as the God’s painting that often appears timidly after a rainfall. But, it turns out that not all rainbow comes after rain. Some rainbows can even be created by human. You can find one example of it at a village at Taichung city, Taiwan, as below.

Rainbow Village, that’s how the village is called, is actually just a regular village settled by war veterans. As time goes by, the village started to get abandoned by its dwellers. Actually, the local government have already planned to demolish the village and rebuild it into someting else.

But then, the last dweller of the village, Huang Yung-fu, started to paint up the walls at the houses abandoned by its dwellers, and also the village street, with shining bright colors.

Unexpectedly, Huang Yung-fu’s creations attracted tourists’ attention to come visiting. Now Rainbow Village becomes the main tourism destination in Taichung.

The government then abort their decision to demolish the village. Well, who knew that colors could save up a village?

10. Ever Heard of Marina Corricella? If Not, Now It’s the Time for You to Find Out About This Colorful City in Italy!

Procida Island is one of the islands at the southern side of Italy, and is located between Ischia and Cape Miseno islands. This island is actually not too big in size and is easy to explore just by walking. But the population at Procida is quite crowded, and is rich in local traditions that are interesting to see.

Well, one of the interesting point from Procida Island lies on the Marina Coricella, a waterfront area located below a cliff. That waterfront area is packed with many buildings in varied functions, starting from the houses to the bars.

What makes this waterfront area feels amazing, is that the buildings are painted in soft pastel colors, which looks pretty awesome to be seen closeby, from afar, or even from the heights. It seems like a rainbow has just passed through the city and left some trails of colors to be amazed. Of course, if only that rainbow has a pastel color nuance!

11. Marina Coricella is Not the Only City of Rainbow. Moving On to Canada, There is St.John Which is Ready to Amaze You with Its So-Lively Colors.

Trust me, Marina Coricella is not the only city covered in rainbow color nuance. St.John, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador Province, Canada, also has a strong taste of rainbow. It probably is even stronger than Marina Coricella, as the colors that decorate the whole buildings at the city consist of strong and firm colors.

Yes, the colors that are strong, firm, and are giving out the cheerful impression, is the main characteristic of house buildings in St.John. You can say that’s what differs the architecture of St.John to other areas in Canada. And now it is famous by the name of “Jellybean Row House”.

It is said that the tradition to color up the houses in cheerful color begun during the city revitalization period, starting from around 1970’s. Since then, the charms of rainbow colors at St.John can still be enjoyed freely by visiting the city. Interested to come around to St.John?

12. Last but not Least, Conclude Your Color Adventure by Coming Around to Umbrella Sky Project, Portugal.

Having a plan to visit the birthplace country of the popular football star, Christiano Ronaldo, which is Portugal? Write down the city of Águeda on your ittinerary. Especially if you plan to visit Portugal during the summer. Hmm, what’s about it anyway?

It turns out that the city of Águeda has an awesome festival on summer. The festival is called Ágitagueda Art Festival. But, the one thing that steals the most attention from that festival is the Umbrella Sky Project which started in 2011.

Umbrella Sky Project is a project to hang up umbrellas in many colors on one of the street at Águeda so they create shadows to cool off the the street. Who knows that this installation projects becomes more and more popular, that it doesn’t seem to be right to come around to Ágitagueda Art Festival before stepping up your foot and striking a pose under its colorful umbrellas of the Umbrella Sky Project.
