Continuing the previous article about vegetarian restaurants in Bali, we intend to add some more recommendation of vegetarian restaurants so you could enjoy your vacation in Bali Island without forgetting your healthy lifestyle.

1. Happy Laksmi Restaurant

Happy Laksmi is a restaurant that serves healthy and organic foods. Some of the foods are still containing cheese, milk, and yoghurt. But you can ask some vegetarian and even all-vegan cuisine. The foods are available both in a la carte and buffet dining. This restaurant is not easy to find as it looks small and located in a lineup of shops. But you can recognize the building by the unique color of the building paint. It is bright orange and yellow.

2. Veggie House

Veggie House is a simple restaurant in Denpasar that serves all-vegetarian cuisine. They do not even use dairy products like eggs or milk. So a real vegan could really eat here. The restaurant is small and does not have unique architecture or such thing. But the menu is extensive and delicious.

You can get some Indonesian foods such as soup, bakso, and nasi goreng (fried rice). You can also have some international cuisine such as vegetables pizza, veggie fillet burgers, veggie soya meat pizza, and much more. The meat, of course, is mock meat made out of vegetable such as soya or mushroom.

 

3. Soma Café Ubud

Soma Café Ubud serves vegetarian, vegan, and raw foods using all local organic ingredients. They also use the slow cooking method and low temperature cooking in order to keep the nutrition from breaking apart. The water used for beverages and for washing the ingredients is purified spring water. Thus, they may guarantee that your dish is perfectly healthy.

The café was first opened as a gathering space for vegetarian community. But it later grows more public as the café gets famous for its delicious menus. They also offer delivery service and catering for any kinds of parties and events.

4. The Seeds of Life

The Seeds of Life restaurant offers only raw foods. It is probably the most delicious raw foods you will ever find in Bali. This is because their chefs are certified in raw culinary in Bali and they also have amazing years of experience in that area. The mock meat tastes pretty much similar to the original meat. And the way the process the foods are amazing. For an instance, they do not even look like raw foods at all.

The Seeds of Life also has a Tonic Bar where you can have many delicious beverages made out of healthy and raw ingredients. You can also join their Raw Chef Certification Program if you are seriously interested in raw food cuisine. The program includes a series of training, retreat, and workshop. The restaurant also has a yoga studio to improve your harmony of life.

 

5. Yoga Barn Garden Kafe

Yoga Barn Garden Kafe is the first raw food restaurant in Ubud formerly known as Little K. Now, the restaurant is bigger and much better. They serve only raw veggie foods with organic ingredients to promote healthy eating habit. They also have special menus for Detoxification as well as Ayurvedic Rejuvenation.

The menus are various and creative. You can try order their raw tacos, lasagna, mini pizza, ravioli, and much more. After having your meal, do not forget to have a dessert such as chocolate mousse, raw carrot cake, and much more. Located in the middle of a Yoga Barn garden, the dining area has a very romantic and peaceful atmosphere. It is such a nice place for dating while keeping a healthy lifestyle.

6. Happy Falafel Bali

Happy Falafel Restaurant is the best place in Bali for a vegetarian to enjoy a wrap of falafel. The have a wide variety of fresh salads. You can stuff your pita bread with the vegetables you take from the salad bar. Take whatever you like, and take how much you like as long as you can stuff it on your pita bread. Eating a mouthful of amazing falafel indeed makes you a happy vegetarian.

Happy Falafel Restaurant also serves other Mediterranean foods such as shawarma, muesli,Asian spaghetti,  Mexican wrap, etc.  They also have plenty choices of mock meat to complete your falafel. The restaurant is clean and opened until past midnight. It is such a perfect place to hang out for night-goers.

 

7. Manik Organik Café

Manik Organik is a community based wellbeing center in Sanur. The retreat includes some shops, yoga class, several classes of harmonious arts, natural healing hubs, and of course, vegan café.

Just like its name, Manik Organik Café only uses organic ingredients served as raw and vegan foods. They do not even use artificial ingredients such as MSG, preservatives, white sugar, pre-prepared drink base. They also do not use microwave and aluminum foil while cooking to avoid breaking the nutrition apart. Thus, all the foods are guaranteed healthy.

They have a wide variety of menu including Indonesian foods like Nasi Goreng and Sambal Tempe, as well as international menus such as green pizza, raw burrito, and much more.

Beside the foods, you can also try their fresh juices, healthy beverage mixes, and yummy desserts. Delivery service is available as well as catering services. The foods will be packed in recycled paper box so you do not need to worry about creating plastic waste. Manik Organik Café also offers a cooking class for only $22.5 per person.
