Sometimes, it is not easy to live as a vegetarian as we do not get to eat in random places. We need to find a restaurant or café which serve all-vegetarian foods in order to make sure that everything we eat are meat-free. This way would be more difficult to do when we are on vacation. We do not really know the city. We do not really know whether there are some vegetarian restaurants. And even if there are, we do not know where they are.

If you have a vacation on a tourism city, surely the city would have various choices of culinary in Bali order to meet every tourist’s taste. This applies in Bali Island. It is not really difficult to find some vegetarian restaurant in Bali. In fact, this tourism land has lots of those. Here are some of those awesome vegetarian restaurants that you might want to try:

 

1. Zula Vegetarian Paradise

Zula Vegetarian Paradise is really a paradise for those who want to eat healthily. Not just vegetarian, the restaurant also serves the cuisine for some other healthy diets such as gluten-free and raw food dishes. The menus are ranging from Indonesian to International cuisine so you do not need to worry about not finding the dish you like. Inside the area, there is a small shop that sells various items for healthy living such as natural mosquito repellent and yoga equipment.

2. Little Green Café

Little Green Café is a nice place to hangout for all the vegetarian people. Enjoy your umbrella table in a courtyard while sipping your smoothies or fresh juice. They also have salads that changes everyday, plenty choices of healthy desserts, and burgers.

They use only organic ingredients and most of them all locally sourced. If you like raw foods, then we would recommend trying their unique raw carrot cake. The place is a little tricky to find, but you can just ask the locals for direction.

Little Green Café has the concept of cozy eating in the middle of intimate garden where there are colorful flowers everywhere and mango trees nearby the kitchen. This unique garden is decorated with Buddha statues and some touches of Zen. It is such a perfect place to catch up with friends and families.

3. Sakti Dining Room at Fivelement

Sakti Dining Room is a part of Fivelement, a wellness retreat in Bali which has eco-conscious concept and Balinese traditions. The retreat includes organic healing, sacred arts, spiritual and emotional approach, and of course, the vegetarian cuisine that is available on Sakti Dining Room. The restaurant is famous for its tasting menus which are available in 3, 5, and 7 course menus.

The restaurant itself has an amazing design and wonderful environment. Mainly constructed with bamboo, designed with traditional architecture, and surrounded with ponds and gardens, the restaurant creates a peaceful aura that matches the retreat’s purpose.

“Gateway of India” is a chain of authentic Indian restaurant in Bali with three branch restaurants and two managed restaurants in Bali. To maintain the authentication of Indian cuisine, they use only Indian spices, traditional recipes, and even traditional oven made out of clay called “Tandoor”. The foods are cooked by Indian chefs with undoubted experience and amazing culinary skill.

Gateway of India serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. Buffet table is available for dinner at 18.30 to 24.00. They also specialize in outdoor catering such as wedding, meeting, birthday parties, and any other events. The restaurants are not so difficult to find. But if you are too lazy to go there, you can just order a delivery service by calling the numbers mentioned above.

5. Earth Café Vegetarian Restaurant

Opened in 2006, Earth Café was established in order to continue promoting vegetarianism and natural way of life. The restaurant also serves raw and gluten-free foods. The ingredients are organic and bought from local farmers. Besides offering delicious veggie foods, the restaurant also offers some cooking classes, nutrition consultation, and a small shop of various healthy items.

The menu at Earth Café is very extensive and unique. They combine the culinary art from Japan, Mediterranean, and India. Some of the most popular menus are gluten-free samosa with chutney sauce, coconut delight smoothies, and the planet platter.

 

6. Loving Hut Denpasar

Loving Hut is an international chain of vegan restaurant. They have more than 140 branch restaurants in about 23 countries in the world. One of the branches is located on Denpasar, Bali.

The restaurant exists to promote a healthy vegetarian living style. The have a wide range of menus, from Asian to Western culinary. You can get some Indonesian foods, ramen noodles, and even pizza. They mostly use organic ingredients and everything is meat-free. The restaurant is very clean and the staffs are friendly.

 

7. Happy Buddha Vegetarian Restaurant

Happy Buddha Vegetarian Restaurant is a small restaurant run by a modest Buddhist family in Kuta, Bali. They have plenty mock meat menus as well as traditional Indonesian menus. All are served in vegetarian style and the price is incredibly cheap.

To find the restaurant, you are going to need a little bit of effort. But it was really worth it. At Jalan Raya Kuta, keep your eyes on the northern side of the road. When you find a cluster of small shops and offices, that means you are already close. The restaurant is located next to “Pegadaian” office.
