2. Songgoriti Temple and Hotspring

Actually, Songgoriti is an ancient temple from the tenth century. It was built during the era of Singosari Empire. The temple has high historical value and beautiful architecture. Nearby the temple, there is a natural hotspring. It is said that the hotspring comes from underneath the temple. King Sindoh, the true king of that time, used to wash his sacred keris (a kind of traditional Javanese sword).

The hotspring is believed to be able to cure many skin and nerves problems such as allergy, itch, and fatigues. According to science research, this magic makes sense due to the sulfur contained on the water. To these benefits, a swimming pool and several bathing infrastructure are built on the hotspring. This object is called Pemandian Tirta Nirwana Songgoriti which literally means “The Heavenly Water of Songgoriti Bathing Object”. To enter this object, a visitor only needs to pay no more than $1.5.
