To Eat

Surely there are a lot of restaurants and cafes in Gianyar and there are much more of those if you explore the whole Bali Island. But if you visit Bali Safari and Marine Park, then you might want to dine in a safari-themed restaurant. To that, we recommend Tsavo Lion Restaurant. The restaurant is designed with African themed and is located so close to the lion’s exhibition area. This allows you to enjoy your family dining while seeing the wild life of the lions.

There is also Uma Restaurant, an all-day dining with village theme. The restaurant serves several kinds of cuisines such as local, Asian, and even International. The local Balinese culture is adapted very well in this restaurant. It makes you feel like dining on a peaceful village in Bali.

The Safari

Doing the safari means you get to see the animals living in their own habitat. Although several animals are not originally from Bali, the management has built an environment for them that looks and feels so much like their natural habitat.

For example, the Indian white lions are put in Ranthambore, a replica of ancient fort in Rajasthan city of India where they usually live. You can see the hippopotamus on Lake Manyara, white rhinoceros on a dense jungle, zebras on African jungle, and much more.

To see those wildlife animals, you need to take a ride on a caged tram. The caged tram was designed to allow you be as close as possible to the wildlife but still put your safety on priority. Each tram will be accompanied by professional animal keepers.

Normal safari is not fun enough. Thus, you should also try to encounter at least one of them. On African jungle, you may feed the zebra and giraffe. In Elephant Village, you may even have an elephant back ride for only US$ 85 for adults and IS$55 for kids.

Also, do not miss the Night Safari where you get to see the wild lions and tigers go hunting for foods. This kind of scene is very exotic to watch. But if you bring your children, make sure they would not feel scared or traumatized while seeing those fierce animals ripping off a zebra in groups.

The Marine Park

To explore the marine life, simply pay a visit at the Fresh Water Aquarium on the area Bali Safari and Marine Park. There, you will be able to see about 40 species of fishes, including the famous super red arowana from Kalimantan and long yellow piranha.

The aquarium has a high biodiversity environment to provide maximum comfort to the fishes. On this aquarium, you could encounter the tip sharks by swimming along with them while indeed being accompanied by professional keepers.
